Natalie Laura Mering (born June 11, 1988), known professionally as Weyes Blood is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. Since 2010, she has released four albums and an EP. Born in Santa Monica, California, Mering was primarily raised in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. After graduating high school, she attended Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon, for one year before dropping out to pursue a music career. She began her career as a member of the Portland-based experimental group Jackie-O Motherfucker, and later toured with the Baltimore-based Natural Almanac. She subsequently began recording her own material under the name Weyes Bluhd, which she later changed to Weyes Blood. Mering relocated to New York City, where she began recording and self-releasing material. After her self-released debut album, The Outside Room (2011), she signed with the independent label Mexican Summer, releasing The Innocents (2014) and Front Row Seat to Earth (2016). She released her fourth studio album, Titanic Rising (2019) on Sub Pop, to critical acclaim.
